RODRIGO y GABRIELA NOMINATED FOR BEST WORLD MUSIC ALBUM AT 41ST NAACP IMAGE AWARDS
Mexican acoustic rock duo Rodrigo y Gabriela have been recognised by one of America's most respected civil rights organisations, The National Association for the Advancement of Coloured People (NAACP).
Rod & Gab's new album “11:11” is nominated in the Outstanding World Music Category at the forthcoming 41th NAACP Image Awards. Nominees in the other categories include Jay-Z, Mariah Carey, Jamie Foxx, Morgan Freeman and the Black Eyed Peas. The awards ceremony takes place at the Shrine Auditorium, Los Angeles on Friday 26th February.

RyG play five gigs at Shepherds Bush Empire in Nov 2010
Rodrigo y Gabriela will be back in London next year for an unprecedented five night stand at one of their favourite venues the Shepherds Bush Empire. The shows will run on November 2nd, 3rd, 5th (yes, expect to see fireworks), 6th and 7th, and will see Rod & Gab play to 10,000 fans during the residency.

Ali di Meola and The Trio Joubran were the two special guests at last nights Paris show. Triveni, from the 11:11 album was inspired by The Trio Joubran and Logos was inspired by Al Di Meola, so it was a very important night for Rod and Gab. Video below

New album '11:11'
Rodrigo y Gabriela will release their new studio album, entitled “11:11” on Rubyworks, on Monday 7th September also, in North America on ATO Records Sept 8th.“11:11” was recorded in Ixtapa, Mexico. The album has been produced by Rodrigo y Gabriela, with John Leckie co-producing one of the tracks. The album was mixed in Wales and London by Colin Richardson, best known for his work with Slipknot and Trivium.

Comprising 11 new self-written compositions, “11:11” is Rod & Gab’s personal “Gracias” to a first XI of musicians, both past and present, who have inspired them along the way. Alex Skolnick of metal gods Testament guests on the album, as do widely respected acoustic veterans Strunz & Farah...
